A whole new generation of MINI has just arrived, and along with it a boot-load of new technology. From the minimalist, crystal-clear OLED display to immersive MINI Experience Modes and optional gaming available on-board, the new MINI Family are driving the future of driving fun.
The new MINI family boasts our industry-first circular OLED touchscreen. The picture-perfect 9.4” display is made from high-quality glass which lends a distinctive, minimalist appearance to the interior. Nestled in the centre of the MINI Interaction Unit, it serves as the main instrument cluster, as well as your onboard hub for infotainment and assistance.
The OLED display is powered by MINI Operating System 9, which features optimized touch and voice-control functionalities. The new user interface boasts a reduced design and all-new graphics for a modern and clean look.
Every member of the new MINI family features the new MINI Experience Modes, which allow you to completely transform the look and feel of your cockpit with a single command. Each mode produces it own ambient lighting, projections, sounds, and driving feel. The MINI Interaction Unit will also display different designs and content depending on the mode chosen. The Core, Green, and Go-Kart Modes comes as standard, and up to five additional modes can be added with MINI Connected Plus.

The standard new MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant allows you to use your voice to operate functions like navigation, telephone, radio, temperature, journey info, and more. The system can be activated using the greeting "Hey MINI" or by pressing the push-to-talk button on the steering wheel. Best of all, you can choose between two avatars for your personal assistant: a stylized version of your MINI, or "Spike", MINI’s mascot, which is available at an additional cost.
What Can I Ask My MINI?
Your MINI will automatically unlock and provide a dazzling welcome display as soon as you approach – without the need for your key fob. This is rounded off with a personal greeting once you’re inside. All of this is possible without you ever having to touch your smartphone – talk about effortless! Keys can be simply and securely passed on to friends or family from the Apple® or Google® Wallet using the “Share” function.
For the first time ever, the new MINI family will offer optional AirConsole Gaming, allowing you and your passengers to play games on your OLED display with the control of a smartphone. Finally, a reason to actually park your MINI.
MINI Connected is a suite of intelligent functions and services that help you connect with your MINI and get the most out of every drive.
MINI CONNECTED BASE. MINI Connected Base includes Remote Services, Automatic Map Updates, voice control through MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant, and data connectivity for Remote Software Upgrades. You’ll also have access to upgrades such as Driving Assistant Plus.
MINI CONNECTED PLUS.
MINI Connected Plus, available via subscription, offers the ultimate MINI digital experience with in-car entertainment, enhanced customization, and access to third-party apps. Depending on the model, features can include Traffic-Camera Information, Real-Time Traffic, In-Car Gaming, and the MINI Intelligent Personal Assistant.
